Tenbin Labs is looking for a founding smart contract engineer to architect and build the core protocol that powers liquid, composable, and yield-bearing real world assets on-chain. You will be working closely with leadership, our backend team, and our frontend team to create secure, efficient smart contracts that enable seamless integration between on-chain yield generation and off-chain market exposure.
What You Will Do
- Design and implement the core smart contract architecture for a novel tokenized asset protocol.
- Build robust, gas-efficient contracts that handle complex financial operations including versioned yield distribution, collateral management, and settlement mechanisms
- Collaborate with our backend team to ensure seamless integration between on-chain protocol logic and off-chain systems
- Work closely with auditors and security researchers to ensure the highest standards of protocol security and reliability
- Mentor and guide other smart contract engineers as we expand our protocol capabilities
Who You Are
- You have deep expertise in Solidity and EVM-based smart contract development with a track record of shipping production protocols
- You excel at designing complex financial primitives and understand the nuances of DeFi protocol architecture
- You are obsessed with security and have experience implementing advanced access controls, emergency mechanisms, and upgrade patterns
- You can navigate the balance between gas optimization and code readability while maintaining the highest security standards
What You Need To Succeed
- 4+ years of experience in smart contract development with multiple production deployments
- Expert-level Solidity skills with deep understanding of EVM internals, gas optimization, and advanced contract patterns
- Extensive experience with DeFi protocols including yield farming, liquidity provision, and tokenomics design
- Strong financial knowledge involving complex settlement logic, collateral management, and multi-asset systems
- Hands-on experience with smart contract testing frameworks (Foundry) and formal verification tools like Certora
- Deep understanding of protocol security including common attack vectors, access control patterns, and emergency response mechanisms
- Experience with proxy patterns, upgradeability, and governance mechanisms
- Experience with oracle integration and price feed security
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience building tokenized asset protocols
- Understanding of derivatives and hedging mechanisms
- Knowledge of MEV protection and transaction ordering considerations
- Background in traditional finance or commodities markets
